Aphra Kerr is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at NUI Maynooth, Ireland. She is co-vice-chair of the Communication, Technology & Policy section of the International Association for Media and Communications Research (IAMCR). She has extensive experience conducting research on new media and in particular digital games. She is currently researching production and work in the international games industry with a focus on the governance of online communities.
