Yahoo labs – Haifa, Israel
Ran Wolff is research scientist at Yahoo labs – Haifa. His main fields of expertise are data mining in large-scale distributed environments: peer-to-peer networks, grid systems, and wireless sensor networks, and privacy preserving data mining. Ran regularly serves as PC in the ICDM, SIGKDD and WWW conferences, and as a reviewer for the DMKD and TKDE journals, among other. He has organized several workshops in his research areas. Previous to his current position Ran graduated from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, has held a post-doc position with the University of Maryland – Baltimore county, and a faculty position with the department of information systems at the University of Haifa.
