To join the R.A.C.E. listserv, you need to send an email (no subject heading) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the following in the body of the email:

SUBscribe RACE (your full name)

Once you have subscribed, the listserv server will send you an email confirming your subscription as well as a list of explanations for how to use the list, unsubscribe, etc.
