U of A Library and Archives

The University of Alberta library boasts the second largest research library systems in Canada. On campus the two main buildings are the Rutherford Library and the Cameron Library. Of great importance to the EMiC UA group is the Bruce Peel Special Collections Library.

The archives at the University of Alberta are an integral part of the impressive repository at the institution. Initiated in 1951 at the Rutherford Library, due to the amount of documents many of the holdings now reside at the Book and Record Depository (BARD).

The Archives preserves over 4,400 linear metres of records. This includes textual records, photographs, audio and video recordings, film, microforms, architectural drawings, and maps.
