Professor Simon Burrows is a founding member of the University of Western Sydney’s Digital Humanities Research Group. A distinguished and innovative historian of the European enlightenment and French revolutionary era, he moved to UWS from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2013 to help pursue the path-breaking digital work on ‘The French Book Trade in Enlightenment Europe‘ for which he is best known. His interests span print culture and the history of the book, intellectual and political history, gender history and the study of cultural transfers.
