Fabio Fernandes is a writer, translator and researcher based in São Paulo, Brazil. He published two books on Digital Culture – A Construção do Imaginario Cyber, 2006 and No Tempo das Telas (with Pollyana Ferrari), in 2014. In the meantime, he wrote papers for several journals and books, in Brazil and abroad. Member of the Steering Group of Visions of Humanity in Cyberculture for Interdisciplinary.Net and of the Internet of Things Council, he also writes science fiction in English, having contributed to many venues, like Steampunk Reloaded, Southern Weirdo: Reconstruction, and The Apex Book of World SF Vol. 2. Co-edited, in 2013, We See a Different Frontier, an anthology of colonialism-themed speculative fiction for The Future Fire Magazine. He translated to Brazilian Portuguese several SFF essential works, such as Neuromancer, Snow Crash, A Clockwork Orange, and The Age of Spiritual Machines. Alum of the 2013 Clarion West Writers Workshop.
