Irit Hadar is a Senior Lecturer (tenured faculty member) at the Department of Information Systems at the University of Haifa. She is the Head of the Software Architecture Laboratory at the Caesarea Rothschild Institute for Interdisciplinary Applications of Computer Science. Her main research area is cognitive aspects of software architecture, design, and analysis. Among others, her recent research examines privacy perceptions and attitudes held by information systems designers and architects, in light of the evolving approach of privacy by design. She published over 70 papers in international journals and conferences in the areas of information systems, software engineering and IS/SE education, and serves as an editorial board member of the ACM Transactions on Computing Education journal. She holds a Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
