Pavel Tarasov is a Professor of Quaternary Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. His research interests include pollen analysis, regional-scale reconstructions of Holocene and Pleistocene plant communities, quantitative pollen-based climate, tree cover and biome reconstructions, human environment interactions, and data-model comparison.
