English Studies in Canada

ESC welcomes submissions on any topic which falls into the disciplinary purview of *English studies* broadly understood. All submissions are by electronic means only. Scholars wishing to submit an article for peer review must register as an author HERE, where they will be prompted to follow instructions for submission on their user homepage. Since the author's name is not revealed to referees during assessment, the title but not the author's name should appear on the uploaded article. The author's identity should be stripped from the document's properties. All submissions require a 100 word abstract, a list of keywords, and a 50 word biographical statement. All articles and reviews must be prepared using parenthetical documentation and include a list of works cited as described in The MLA Style Manual. Please consult ESC's author guidelines in advance of submission here. Download ESC Author Guidelines.

In addition to scholarly and theoretical essays, ESC publishes book reviews, review articles, and short polemical essays on *the state of the discipline*. Preliminary inquiries and suggestions are welcome. Contact us at esc@ualberta.ca.
