Khuzhir-Nuge XIV

Khuzhir-Nuge XIV is a middle holocene hunter-gatherer cemetery on Lake Baikal, Siberia and is one of the first sites excavated under the Baikal Archaeology Project (BAP). The first BAP excavations took place in 1997. By 2001, project members had excavated 81 graves, contributing to the data from six other graves that had been previously excavated at the site. Detailed information about the Khuzhir-Nuge XIV site can be found in our publication Khuzhir-Nuge XIV, A Middle Holocene Hunter-Gatherer Cemetery on Lake Baikal, Siberia (available in two volumes: Archaeological Materials and Osteological Materials).
