BHAP team members participate in two-day training session for the newly bought lake sediment coring equipment at Mondsee, Austria, 13-16 November, 2012

BHAP team members Christian Leipe, Stefanie Müller, Alexander Shchetnikov, Pavel Tarasov, and Dustin White recently participated in a 2-day training session in Mondsee, Austria, to learn the ins and outs of our recently purchased lake coring equipment. Mr. Richard Niederreiter from Uwitec provided the hospitality and efficient training for our team members.
The Piston core equipment was funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) Leaders Opportunity Fund (LOF) awarded to Andrzej Weber as part of the BHAP. The coring equipment will be of great use for the palaeoenvironmental research in the Lake Baikal region.
