Drs Robert Losey and Tatiana Nomokonova hang out with seals and seal hunters on Lake Baikal April 30, 2013 Drs Robert Losey and Tatiana Nomokonova are presently doing field research on seals and seal hunting in the middle of beautiful frozen Lake Baikal, Russia. Message from Rob: I was 23 km from shore on the lake ice with seal hunters. As you can see, we got really really close to seals.... 50 km per hour winds for about 8 hours straight, but at least it was sunny. Dr. Losey sent us some great photos!
