BHAP receives Visiting Scholar Award from Faculty of Science, University of Alberta January 26, 2012 Congratulations to Drs. Andy Bush, Pavel Tarasov, and Andrzej Weber on receiving a Visiting Scholar Award to help support Dr. Tarasov's visit to the University of Alberta this summer. The $2,100 CAD award is sponsored by the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta, and is created to encourage the scientific exchange between leading researchers from other universities or research institutes and academic staff and their students in the Faculty of Science. Award letter reads: "The Faculty of Science is pleased to support your application for Dr. Pavel Tarasov, Freie Universitat, Berlin, Germany, as a Visiting Scholar to the University of Alberta. We will support your application for the two month period that you requested. The committee was impressed with the quality of your Visiting Scholar application and felt that this was an outstanding opportunity with great potential for research synergy across departments and faculties.
