Congratulations to Dr. Christian Leipe! July 11, 2014 Great news from Dr. Pavel Tarasov: On 30 June, my PhD student and BHAP team member Christian Leipe successfully defended his PhD Thesis entitled "Insights into Late Quaternary vegetation and climate dynamics in Monsoon Asia obtained from numerical pollen-based reconstructions". The Faculty Scientific Commission gave him the highest possible note for the written work and oral presentation of scientific results. Congratulations to the new Doctor of Natural Sciences Christian Leipe. I hope that Christian's postdoc project will be closely related to the BHAP activities on Hokkaido and Rebun.
