BHAP Postdoctoral researcher Dr. Nomokonova donates faunal collection to ISTU

Posted on the Irkutsk State Technical University website is a news item about BHAP Postdoctoral researcher Tatiana Nomokonova donating a faunal collection to the university. Dr. Robert Losey from the University of Alberta helped with the collection of the materials.
The collection consists of 45 modern animal bones such as deer, elk, pike, sturgeon, and wild boar, all in various stages of life. The purpose of the collection is to help researchers with comparative studies of modern and ancient faunal specimens.
Dr. Artur Kharinskiy, head of the Irkutsk State Technical University, notes that the collection at ISTU is unique, and the best of its kind, in Russia.
