Dr. Robert Losey invited speaker and discussant at 27th International Abashiri Symposium at the Museum of Northern Peoples, Abashiri, Japan

On October 13 and 14th, Dr. Robert Losey was an invited speaker and discussant at the 27th International Abashiri Symposium at the Museum of Northern Peoples, Abashiri, Japan.
At the session, Dr. Losey presented a paper entitled "Seal hunting on Siberia's Sacred Sea: Past, Present, and Future".
The session featured a suite of Japanese ethnographers, climatologists, and archaeologists. The other non-Japanese presenter was Dr. James Savelle of McGill University.
